Championship Game

Last night Izak's team played for the Championship. We lost but they played so good and made it so far in the tournament. We were so proud of their little team and how far they came this year. It was a really fun season!!!!
And they all got a trophy at the closing ceremonies after the game. It was great. Way to Go Mets!!!
I have to say that Jared did a great job coaching. My boys are so lucky to have him as their coach...so Way to Go Jared too!

Poor Jaxson
So Jaxson's baseball season is over a little early. He broke his arm climbing a fence at baseball. He decided to climb the chain link fence instead of go around and his cleat got caught and he turned baseball into gymnastics with a front flip over the fence...if only he would have landed it! He was pretty tough about it though. He did not cry. I thought I might and I had to leave the room when they set the bone. But luckily they put him to sleep while they did it so he will never know I was not there.

I guess at least the casts are water proof now.

But on the positive side Ike made the All star team! (which Jaxson is a little bummed about)

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

Me, my mom, and sister and my sisters friend went to Vegas to see Lion King at Mandalay Bay. We had so much fun. Lion King was so good. The costumes are seriously amazing! There are elephants and zebras and all kinds of animals.
And I always love the stip. It is so fun to walk around and just watch people. What better place than Vegas to watch people too. We went to the M&M factory and bought the kids presents.
I don't go away without my kids very often so it was kind of a nice break to not have to worry about anyone else but myself. Fun girls trip.
Then after Vegas instead of flying back home we took a car service (which by the way was so nice and easy and a lot cheaper than renting a car) and met Jared and the kids in St George for the rest of the weekend.
We went to Pirate Island Pizza with the kids. They liked it a lot. It is pretty fun inside...the pizza was not the best but it was fun.
After the weekend we were all worn out!
Except for Payton who never gives up...she wants to make sure she does not miss out on anything!
I can't wait for Wicked next month. That one is my favorite. We are flying to Phoenix again to see it and that is where we saw it before. I will take lots of pictures!

New Baby!!!!
So I thought that I would finally introduce you all to our new baby...
He is big, hairy, and slobbery! But he is the sweetest DOG ever! I am so in love with him. He was supposed to be Jared's new baby(can't you totally tell that Jared picked him out) but I am so in love with him.
And actually he is better than any home alarm system we could have gotten! His bark alone will scare anyone and his growl kind of sounds like a bear. If he would not have already been named Mack I would have totally gone for the name Bear.
Mack and Jared's brother Matt's dog Murphy. Murphy is a miniature Schnauzer and Mack is an French Mastiff.
He gets a little excited with other big dogs.

New Favorite

So here is one of my new favorite things. It is a shampoo, body wash, and shower gel all in one. There are different scents but I like this one called amazing grace. The brand has a philosophy on the front of each bottle for the different kinds and I loved what this one said.
Philosophy: life is a classroom. we are both student and tacher. each day is a test. and each day we receive a passing of a failing grade in one paticular subject: grace is a compassion, gratitude, surrender, faith, forgiveness, good manners, reverence, and the list goes on. it's something money can't buy and credential rarely produce. being the smartest, the prettiest, the most talented, the richest, or even the poorest can't help. being a humble person can and being a helpful person can guide you through your days with grace and grattitude.
So So True. It also smells really good. Just thought I would share.

So while I am on the subjest of my faorite things I also thought that I would share this other one of my favorite things with all of you...I love to read and usual like to read anything that I can get my hands on but I will admit that church books are usually not my first pick. My mother-in-law gave this book to my husband who (of course) said that he didn't want to read it...he is not much a reader anyways but if I would pick a church book last it would be much further down the list for him. I had never heard about the book or the author but I decided to read it. It has to be one of my all time favorite books I have ever read! So last night the author came to my mom's book club meeting to talk about the book and how the story came to her...so of course I had to crash the party and go listen to her. It was so great and I have never felt the spirit more. All I will say is that I think the author is an amazing person and if anyone has the chance to read the book I would highly recommend it. It is one that I will probably read again and again!!!!
