Happy Anniversary!

Today is my 10 year wedding anniversary! I can not believe that it has been that long. 10 years ago today I married the man of my dreams and every year since then he has been proving to be an incredible person and father and husband. When I don't think that I could love him anymore he does something that amazes me and I do love him more every day that we are together. I am very happy that he is a part of my life and that I share my family and life with him. I respect him and cherish our relationship dearly. I love you so much Jared. Thanks for 10 wonderful years and I look forward to 10 (etc) more incredible years with you. Happy Anniversary!

Miss Eagle Mountain

When we got home from ST George I got to Judge the Miss Eagle Mountain Pageant. It was really fun! It took all day...from about 1-9pm and seemed like a long day when I got home. The girls were all really cute and fun and it was hard to pick. I am very impressed that they can get up on stage and do that. I would have probably been so embarrassed to do that at that age.

Our week in St George

Last week we went to St George for the whole week. It was so nice. What could be better this time a year than a little sunshine? Jared had a convention down there all week so me and the kids tagged along for a little vacation. We slept in, ate a LOT, went swimming, played games, hung with fun friends, and went shopping....it was a really fun week.

Payton loved the baby pool cause she could reach in it. So she lived in this pool which made it really easy for me to lay out. YEAH!

The condo was way nice and was great with the whole family. We had a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a laundry room, and family room. It was perfect!

Dixie Rock was fun to go hike around at. Payton was a little nervous but the boys had a BLAST!

Payton got a little makeup kit from the outlet down there...I think that within an hour she had used all the makeup. You can tell from her nice shiny face. She loved it and thought she was such a princess. I love having a girl!

Jaxson's Birthday

So my Jaxson turned 10. That seems so crazy to me. I can not believe he is getting so old. It makes me feel old. But he is so fun and cute. I know I should not call my 10 year old boy cute but he is. All he wanted for his birthday was a new basketball...and look at how happy he is about it. He has loved basketball this year. He played on two teams. One here is Highland (that is still going) and one up in Draper (that has there tournament in about another week). I am really glad that he has enjoyed it because between practices every week for 2 teams and games for 2 teams it was a lot of running. He has learned a lot this year. He even has gotten up every Friday at 5 am to go down to play basketball with Jared...CRAZY!

This is a whole new phase of parenting!

So on Tuesday night we had pack meeting at the church for scouts. Jaxson stayed after pack meeting with some friends to play basketball. Apparently Jaxson and one of his friends from our neighborhood (actually they just live a couple of houses away from us) got in a fist fight...
So the story that I got from Jaxson is that they were playing and he was playing tough D (ha ha I liked this part of the story) He is so into basketball right now. He blocked the shot and the other kid got mad and punched him in the stomach so Jaxson said that he got mad and starting punching the other kid back. Ya I said punching. I am not sure how many times he punched but I do know it was more than one. Then he got mad and walked home from the church.
So I have to say that in a way I am proud of my Jaxson. He has always been my timid meek little man who would not stick up for himself. Jared has been trying to get a little competitiveness and aggression out of him. I know that fighting is not ever good but I was glad that he stuck up for himself. I have always told him that if he does not start it and he is sticking up for himself, his brother, or his sister that he will not ever be in trouble for fighting back.
So then the next day at school I told him that if he wanted to try and talk to his friend he should. I told him that he did not have to take the blame for it if he did not start it but that he should apologize for his part in it too. He did try and talk to his friend which did not go so well (maybe it was to soon) but that is ok. And Jaxson said that it is ok too. He said that he felt better about it after he tried to apologize. Then he held his own when they were all playing football at recess and the kids told him to leave and Jaxson said no. He was playing football and having fun and did not want to leave.
I can not tell you how proud I was of him that he held his own.
So I have been worried about this since Tuesday because I want them to be friends. I hate confrontation. I am a girl and Jaxson is my oldest so this is all new to me. But I am staying out of it and decided that they will have to take care of it on their own. But I am a little worried about this new stage we are moving into and I heard that it only gets worse from here. I am so excited! HA HA!
